Dear Parents,

I would like to introduce myself as the Assistant Principal at Deira Private School. I am delighted and excited to have the opportunity to work with you and nurture your child during their years with us.

I’m originally from Manchester in the UK, I moved to Dubai in 2015 to further progress my career in the education sector. I have done my Cache 5 which is a Leadership Qualification for the Early Years and am currently pursuing Masters in Educational Leadership. I started my career in the UAE at Chubby Cheeks Nursery, first as a Foundation Stage Teacher then as a Nursery Principal for one of our flagship branches for over 5 years.

Over the last two years, I have worked at a well-known school in Dubai where I had the opportunity to gain experience as a primary teacher. As part of my job role, I was the leader of the school well-being team and one of my greatest passions is to ensure that students in our care are safe, healthy and happy. I was also responsible for planning the interdisciplinary curriculum and implementing effective learning, teaching and assessment strategies.

From the first moment that I entered Deira Private School, I could sense the warmth, community spirit, and family feel. As I look forward to meeting our school families, I would like to introduce you to my little family. I am a proud mother to 8-month old Illeana and my husband Ramy is from Egypt. I love meeting and getting to know people from different cultures.

I have a personal passion for dance, drama and theatre. I strongly believe that performing arts give us an opportunity to express ourselves and enhance self esteem, confidence and overall well-being. I look forward to developing a strong arts and sports program at our school to ensure holistic development of all children.

I believe in an open door policy and strong communication with all our families. I will be regularly reporting to you about the latest developments at our school and about your child’s learning and progress.
